Charlene Teo Sze Yuen, aged 45, oversees Group HR functions of strategic staffing processes – recruitment, training and culture – to ensure a robust multi-disciplinary workforce for 5 Companies.  Conspec is the largest landscape construction company in Malaysia with an ecosystem of architectural services and green building materials.

Charlene designs talent development programs to empower staff to achieve optimal performance. She pioneered the HR Department as a Talent-Multiplying Centre to groom intrapreneurs. Since 2017, selected executives under Next-Gen Leadership (NGL) program were trained to senior executive and manager, where 15 were promoted. In 2024-2025, 4 Managers were promoted to shareholding Director.

Her team consistently wins industry-recognised awards from the Institute of Landscape Architects (ILAM), SOBA (Star Outstanding Business Awards), AIA Vitality’s Malaysia’s Healthiest Workplace and Healthiest Employees, SME100 and Malaysia Book of Records.

Charlene graduated with an honours degree in Media and Communications from the University of Melbourne.
