Baktiar Hasnan is a seasoned expert in education and career development, bringing over two decades of experience in talent curation, leadership coaching, and career advisory services. His career exemplifies a deep commitment to personal and professional growth, offering mentorship and guidance to individuals at various stages of their career journeys.

With a strong foundation in leadership development, Baktiar is a frequent speaker at Human Resources conferences and is passionate about motivating others to achieve their full potential. His work also extends to social services and NGOs, where he actively promotes youth leadership and empowerment.

As a certified HRDF trainer, Baktiar has been instrumental in career development initiatives, having completed key professional programs such as Talent Corp Malaysia’s NEXT 1.0 and the NCDA USA’s Facilitating Career Development (FCD). During the pandemic, he played a crucial role as a Career Coach for the #Kisah Siswa initiative by TalentCorp Malaysia and HRD Corp Placement Centre, providing career guidance to young Malaysians facing a turbulent job market.

Since 2019, Baktiar has also supported school counselors through the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) initiative, where his mentorship has made a significant impact. His current role at Multimedia University’s Centre for Alumni (CFA) focuses on engaging alumni and fostering a supportive network for graduates.

Baktiar’s leadership extends beyond national borders through his involvement with the Asia Pacific Career Development Association (APCDA). As an active board member and Area Council Representative for APCDA, Baktiar contributes to the mission of promoting best practices in career development across the Asia-Pacific region. APCDA is dedicated to supporting career professionals and advancing career development initiatives in diverse cultural contexts, creating a platform for collaboration and knowledge-sharing among career practitioners throughout Asia and the Pacific.

In addition to his work with APCDA, Baktiar has served as President of the National Career Development Centre Association (NACDA Malaysia) and is currently the Secretary of Persatuan Pendidikan Digital Komuniti (PENDIDIK). His wide-ranging contributions to career development make him a highly respected leader in the field.
